Online voting has begun to determine the country’s choice for the top sporting personality of 2015. The Trinidad and Tobago Olympic Committee’s annual People’s Choice Awards was launched two weeks ago, and online voting will continue until December 20, nine days before the winners are made public.
The process this year, however, is notably different, as explained yesterday by Dale Lutchman of Tribal Caribbean, the company managing the online voting.
“We have not defined a list of athletes to vote from,” Lutchman explained.
We have not defined any specific category. Simply go on to the TTO C website, on our Facebook page, our Twitter page (and) enter your name, your email address, and vote for whoever you like.
So we are by no means boxing in or limiting the involvement of the public and who they support as the People’s Choice Award for 2015.” Lutchman added that fans will be allowed to vote more than once, but only once per day.
The site will be updated every Monday night, showing the leading contenders, until the cut off point on December 20.3
