Venezuela - August 13, 2020.- On the last day of programming in the 1st Sports Administration Seminar organized by the Education Commission of the Central American and Caribbean Sports Organization (CACSO), a good level of organization and invited speakers was maintained to offer their knowledge to the more than 1500 participants who connected on the ZOOM and YouTube platforms.
Alejandro Goycoolea, Director of Communications for Pan Am Sports, began the day talking about Communication and Information Technology in Sports, highlighting what the Pan American Organization has been doing and offering Tips to all participants.
The cycle of presentations continued with the third Vice President of CACSO and President of the Puerto Rico Olympic Committee, Sara Rosario, who highlighted the structure and operation of the NOCs, highlighted the role of the Olympic entities, the pillars of Olympism and the current situation in sport. for the different national olympic houses.
The topic Leadership in Sports Organizations was taught by the President of the Caribbean Association of National Olympic Committees (CANOC) and also the Trinidad & Tobago Olympic Committee, Brian Lewis, who spoke about the different facets of a leader, the differences between leading Directing and leading, Lewis walked through scenarios where leadership must be assumed in order to highlight different goals.
Jimena Saldaña, CACSO first Vice President and the Mexican Olympic Committee, together with Jackie Guerra, who is Director of Analysis in the Technical Coordination of the Ministry of Education, presented the presentation on Sports Marketing, highlighting all that can be done with a delegation, team, among others to be able to have a remuneration that benefits a company, person, brand or institution.
After the presentations of the day, was given symbolic of four certificates was made to different participants, highlighting the Colombian sports journalist, María Constanza, who is a representative of the International Association of Sports Press for America (AIPS America), in addition to the presence of the world medalist athlete and multi medalist in events of the Olympic cycle María Dimitrova, from the Dominican Republic
Venezuelan national, Giorgio Alberti, a Technical Director with a long history in sports, received his virtual certificate, as did Leyhord Tolud from Surinam, a Physical Education teacher with experience in MEMOS.
María Dimitrova expressed "I congratulate all the exhibitors, Mr. Luis Mejía Oviedo and I hope many more will continue, they are really very useful".
Eduardo Álvarez Camacho, CACSO Secretary General and Education Commission Coordinator, spoke to all those present to congratulate them and thank them for their participation.
"I thank all the speakers who are specialists in the Olympic movement, thank you to all the 56 countries that were present, this certificate includes the entire program seen during these three days", highlighted Álvarez.
For the farewell, CACSO President, Luis Mejía Oviedo, exclaimed “What happiness we all have, it does not belong to someone in particular, it belongs to everyone and everyone who attended this Seminar for 3 days, I am very pleased.
