Olympic Legend Michael Johnson is scheduled to arrive in Trinidad and Tobago on Monday 12th December.
The multiple Olympic and World Champion will conduct high performance workshops between 13-14 December. The visit is part of the Bptt/Michael Johnson Performance (MJP) and TTOC High Performance partnership.
The TTOC's effort to facilitate the achievement of 10 or more Olympic Gold medals by the year 2024 includes harnessing technological advances to challenge the traditional T&T sport system.
The partnership with Bptt and MJP provides an amalgam of best practice, know how based on a proven record of success, and using technology to radically change and challenge the way things have traditionally been done.
The workshops 13-15 December will engender conversations in respect of the journey to 10 Golds24 post Rio 2016 Olympic Games- the way forward.
Joining Michael Johnson at the head table will be Lance Walker- MJP Performance Director, Lindsey Anderson-MJP Performance Specialist and Tobias Ottley- Executive Manager Sport Conpany of Trinidad and Tobago (SportTT) Elite Development and Performance Unit.
Day one with coaches and trainers on Tuesday 13th December will be held at Olympic House, 121 Abrecromby Street from 9am.
Day two Wednesday 14th December will be for athletes and coaches.
On Thursday 15th December a visit to Tobago for stakeholder meetings is on the agenda.
