Over the years, the Marathon Challenge alongside other complementary initiatives has successfully raised funds through participant registration as well as donations, with proceeds directed toward assisting Trinidad and Tobago athletes in their preparation, development, and representation at major competitions. The initiative reflects the TTOC’s continued commitment to being athlete-centred and to creating sustainable opportunities for national sporting success.

President of the TTOC Ms. Diane Henderson, along with members of her Executive, will once again take part in the 2026 Marathon Challenge, reinforcing leadership’s hands-on commitment to athlete support.

Commenting on the initiative, Ms. Diane Henderson, President of the TTOC, stated:

“The Marathon Challenge is more than a symbolic journey, it represents our collective commitment to standing behind the athletes who proudly represent Trinidad and Tobago. Every step taken within the 26.2 miles and every contribution made directly supports their preparation, well-being, and pursuit of excellence on the international stage.”

Following the Challenge, the 3rd Fundraising Brunch will bring together stakeholders, supporters, and members of the Olympic family in a relaxed and celebratory setting. The brunch serves as both a fundraising opportunity and a moment to recognise contributions, strengthen partnerships, and reaffirm collective support for Team TTO athletes.
