Our Unassuming

            For The

            Stars

On August 11, 2012, an unassuming young man from
Toco shocked the sporting world. Seemingly out of
nowhere, Keshorn Walcott, flayed the competition
in the Olympic javelin event at the London Games.
At 19 years, 131 days Walcott became the
youngest ever gold medallist in the event.
It was this country’s first Olympic Gold medal
since Hasely Crawford won the 100m
            sprint in 1976. Shotputter Cleopatra
Borel was a part of Team TTO at the
2012 Games. She spoke to Franka

            Philip about Walcott’s achievement.
